RSS-TorrentFlux is a Add-On for TorrentFlux.
It's a small Perl-Script that checks Torrent-RSS-Feeds, automagically adds Torrent-Files
to TorrentFlux and even starts the Downloads for you!
Download the gzipped Source here or view the Source online here.
You need a running and working TorrentFlux-Installation or at least an account.
Then, make sure, the following Perl-Modules are installed (in braces you'll find the names of the Debian-Package):
If the requirements are met, download and unpack the Source, fire up your favourite Editor and adjust the Options according to your needs:
RSS-TorrentFlux understands the following switches:
For the first time, just test your configuration by running the Script manually (I recommend the -v switch for testing)
After you made sure, everything works, just add the script to your crontab and have fun :)
If you manually added a Torrent-File to your TorrentFlux and RSS-TorrentFlux tries to add the same file, it will encounter an error and keep on trying to add the file the next time it's started. Just delete the file manually from TorrentFlux and you'll be fine :)
The current version is 0.9c (since 2005-01-06). The changes to the previous version 0.9a are a small sanity-check and support for TorrentFlux-Versions up to 1.5.
The filenames of the already added Torrent-Files will be stored in ~/.seentorrents
RSS-TorrentFlux is released under the Perl Artistic License. That basically means, you can do whatever you want with it, as long as you keep the Copyright-Notes in :)
